With WALL-E severely broken, EVE realizes the one parts to restore him are on Earth, which they'll reach shortly if they can activate the hyperjump. The Captain breaks freed from his quarters and deactivates Auto, permitting the holo-detector to activate, but WALL-E dies because the ship flies again to Earth. The story follows a robot named WALL-E, who is designed to clean up a waste-covered Earth far sooner or later. He falls in love with another robot named EVE, which also has a programmed task.
