Aboard the Starliners, over the centuries, every new generation of people grew increasingly more obese, losing bone mass in the process, as an end result of over publicity to micro or artificial gravity and as an alternative relying on hover chairs to move across the ships. The WALL•E story staff often consisted of 6 artists, rising to 10 during peak periods and right down to only 3 near the top of manufacturing. When leaving Earth on the probe ship, WALL-E crashes in Sputnik-1, the first Earth-orbiting artificial satellite created by the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. It brings up very real issues that the world, and particularly densely populated areas, are coping with right now and much more so sooner or later.
